Pros: I appreciated the hybrid model offered for tech roles, letting me work remote from Austin a couple days a week. It helps manage errands. You can often keep your work week around 45 hours if you're good at setting boundaries as a Software Engineer.
Cons: The product development pace is relentless for Software Engineer roles, making true work-life balance tough. There's a lot of pressure to hit aggressive deadlines. It often felt like you needed to put in extra hours, impacting my personal time significantly.
Advice to Management: Management needs to better manage expectations and project scope. Help teams protect their personal time, especially for engineering staff. Burnout is a real issue.

Pros: Some senior managers here really know their stuff. They give us a lot of autonomy, which is great for Product Manager roles at this tech startup. The hybrid work model is a big plus too.
Cons: Direction from the very top leadership can be super inconsistent. It's tough when priorities shift fast, especially for critical product development initiatives in the San Francisco office. It can feel pretty chaotic sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to align on a clearer vision and stick to it for a bit longer. Inconsistent messaging makes it hard for teams to execute effectively.
