Pros: The team at Arco Strings Music is super supportive; as a music sales associate, I really enjoyed connecting with customers and fellow musicians in the Seattle, WA office. We'd get solid discounts on string instruments, which was a nice perk.
Cons: Job security is a real concern here, especially when the music retail market dips. It feels like a small, family-owned business which means there's not much upward movement or long-term job stability. You don't get much in terms of benefits, either.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more pathways for career growth for your sales associates. Improving job security and benefit packages would make a huge difference, even for a smaller music retail store.
