Pong Codan Rubber is associated with Pongpara Codan Rubber Co. Ltd. (Thailand) with more than 40 years of experience provided the technical assistance and expertise. We also have a collaboration with Toyoda Gosei (Japan) to produce a vast range of weather strips and hoses with their latest award winning rubber technology.

Pong Codan Rubber produces a wide range of high quality automotive rubber products to cater the ever evolving automotive industry. Our research & development, quality control and testing are conducted with only the state-of-the-art technology in accordance to international standard therefore able to deliver the highest grade of rubber products.

The company has achieved the QS9000 requirements of the Quality Management System and is also accredited with the EMS ISO 14001 and QMS ISO/TS 16949 certification.

Stable manufacturing role with decent job security

Pros: The job security for a Production Engineer in the automotive components industry here is genuinely strong. You feel pretty safe in your position, which is a huge plus these days. They've been around for a while.
Cons: Career growth feels a bit slow sometimes. There aren't always clear paths for advancement, which can be frustrating. The pay isn't the highest, but it's competitive enough for the Johor Bahru area.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career progression paths for employees. It would boost morale if there were more opportunities for upskilling and advancement within the company. Show more

Production Supervisor

Leadership's a bit of a mixed bag here

Pros: You get pretty solid job security, which is good in the rubber manufacturing sector. The pay for an onsite Production Supervisor is decent for Shah Alam, Selangor. Your immediate team members are usually great.
Cons: Leadership can be a real struggle sometimes. They don't always get what happens on the factory floor for automotive components production. It feels like they're slow to make decisions, and there isn't much career growth path here for manufacturing roles.
Advice to Management: Management needs to really listen to those of us on the ground. Invest in better training for leaders, especially for understanding daily production line issues and employee development. Get more involved with the people actually making the rubber products. Show more
