Pros: Some team leads are genuinely good mentors here. As a Software Engineer, I've learned a lot from direct supervisors in our Kuala Lumpur office. They're usually open to new ideas within the tech development space.
Cons: The really high-up leadership feels pretty disconnected. Decisions often come down without much explanation, which isn't great for a mid-sized company trying to adapt. Communication is a big pain point for hybrid teams.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between senior leaders and the teams. Better cross-departmental communication would help everyone, especially those working in a hybrid model. Listen to your technical staff more.
