Leadership is okay, but could be clearer
Pros: I got solid onsite exposure to many civil engineering projects, which is great for career development as an engineering associate. My direct team leads were generally supportive and good at mentoring. It's a decent place to get industry experience in Malaysia.
Cons: Upper management sometimes felt pretty distant from the daily grind for us project engineers. Decision-making could be really slow, impacting timelines on construction sites. It felt like there wasn't much room to give direct feedback to those at the top, which was frustrating.
Advice to Management: Work on better communication channels between upper leadership and onsite teams. Give project engineers more clarity on project direction and empower them with decision-making authority. Listen more to the feedback from the ground. Show more
