Leadership has its moments, but needs work

Pros: Some of the immediate team leads are really solid, especially for junior Software Engineer roles. They're good at mentoring and actually listen to your input on IT solutions. It's nice to feel heard at that level, even in a mid-sized tech company.
Cons: Upper management is often disconnected from daily operations. There's a lack of clear direction, and decisions sometimes feel sudden, impacting ongoing software development projects. Communication across the Kuala Lumpur office could be way better from the top.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication from senior leadership down. Be more transparent about strategic decisions, especially those impacting project teams and the hybrid work model. Invest in leadership training for mid-level managers so they can better support their teams of IT professionals. Show more
