Leadership here is a mixed bag, honestly.

Pros: Some team leads and immediate managers are really supportive, especially in the finance operations teams. You get solid experience working in a big corporate shared services setup, which helps for future accounting roles. They offer decent hybrid work options for Project Accountants too.
Cons: Upper leadership in the energy sector can feel pretty disconnected from the ground level in Kuala Lumpur. There isn't always clear direction or much support for career growth from senior management. It's tough to feel seen in such a big organization.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing clear leadership paths for your mid-level managers. Make sure they truly understand the day-to-day for shared services roles in Kuala Lumpur. Better communication from the top would also help engage Project Accountants better. Show more
