Okay Place for Biotech, Job Security Is So-So

Pros: Working here as a Research Scientist gave me decent exposure to new genomics technologies. The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally supportive. It's a pretty good environment for learning if you're early in your biotech career, especially with our onsite R&D projects.
Cons: What about job security here? Honestly, it's not great. Many positions for lab roles feel very project-based. There's always a worry about contract renewals or funding issues for future genomics projects. It's a mid-sized company, and they can be quick to cut roles.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating more stable, long-term positions instead of relying so heavily on short-term project funding. Improve communication about the company's financial health and future plans to reduce employee anxiety. Show more
