Pros: For a tech company in Kuala Lumpur, the work-life balance is pretty decent. Most days, I'm out on time, no crazy late nights. They do offer some hybrid work options, which helps a lot with commuting.
Cons: Sometimes as a Junior Software Engineer, you feel pressured to take on extra tasks. It's not always easy to completely disconnect after hours, especially with urgent project deadlines. The workload can fluctuate a lot, so some weeks are definitely tougher than others.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workloads more. Ensure managers aren't pushing for unpaid overtime. Support the hybrid work model consistently across teams.
