Career Growth Is Tough for Onsite Roles
Pros: It's a stable company, which is nice. You do learn a lot about the actual manufacturing process if you're a Production Engineer. The team is usually helpful when you're just starting out here in Penang.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow, especially for onsite roles like mine. There aren't many clear paths to move up unless someone leaves. Management doesn't seem to invest much in skills development for the manufacturing industry.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career progression plans for junior and mid-level employees. Invest in training and development programs, especially for those in technical manufacturing roles. Show more
