Growth is Slow Here, Good for Stability
Pros: The job security is decent, especially for entry-level Travel Consultant roles. You get to learn a lot about different destinations, which is fun. It's a pretty stable mid-sized company in the travel industry.
Cons: Career growth is tough; there aren't many opportunities to move up the ladder. You often feel stuck in your role, and raises are small. It's not great if you're looking to quickly advance your career.
Advice to Management: Create clearer paths for internal promotions and invest in more training programs. Travel Consultant roles could benefit from skill development.

Leadership is a mixed bag here
Pros: My direct manager was usually super supportive. You get good training on various travel packages, which is helpful. There's a decent team vibe on the sales floor.
Cons: Upper management often feels out of touch with what's really happening. Decision-making can be slow, especially when responding to changes in the travel industry. It's hard to get big ideas heard.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with frontline staff, especially in the Toronto office. More regular communication and transparency about company direction would really help.

Flexibility is tricky in this hybrid model
Pros: I liked that they offered a hybrid model for some roles, which was a big plus for a Travel Consultant. It helped a bit with the commute to the Toronto office. The team camaraderie in the travel industry here is pretty good, and you learn a lot about different destinations.
Cons: True work flexibility is limited; it's mostly fixed hours, even with the hybrid setup. You can't just shift your day around much. It felt like 'work from home' was more 'work from office, but sometimes at home' rather than truly flexible WFH. For sales roles, the pressure can be high.
Advice to Management: Consider genuinely flexible WFH options and not just a hybrid model that still feels very rigid. Empower employees more to manage their own schedules, especially for experienced Travel Consultant staff.
