Great Place for Hospitality Careers, Strong Culture
Pros: The company culture at Solaire is great. Colleagues are supportive and we truly help each other in guest services. There are chances to learn new skills and grow, thanks to the diverse guest base in this luxury resort environment. It's a dynamic place within the hospitality industry.
Cons: Peak seasons mean longer hours, which is normal for hospitality. Also, promotion pathways in such a large organization can feel a bit slow sometimes.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the strong team culture and consider streamlining internal promotion pathways to recognize and advance talent more quickly.

Good Start in Hospitality, Growth is Tough
Pros: It's a big operation, so you get solid experience with high-volume guest services. The initial training for new hires is actually pretty good. You also get to meet a lot of people in the Manila office, which is nice.
Cons: Career progression for a Front Desk Agent isn't clear. It felt like promotions were very slow or went to external hires. There's not much room to move into different departments easily. It's tough if you want to climb the ladder here for hospitality roles.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion paths for existing employees. Invest more in internal development for various positions within the resort. Show people there's a reason to stay long-term and grow.

Culture is okay, but it's a grind
Pros: The team in the Manila, Philippines location is pretty solid. We support each other a lot, which helps with the tough shifts. It's good experience if you're looking to get into hospitality roles.
Cons: Work-life balance for Hotel Operations Coordinator roles isn't great here. You're expected to be onsite a lot, so there's not much flexibility. The overall corporate culture can feel pretty rigid, which isn't always fun.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more work flexibility where possible. Also, listen more to the ground staff in hotel operations; their insights are valuable.
