We have multiple revenue streams from classic headhunting, predictive hiring, interim solutions and competitor insight. All of those underpinned by our commitment to share risk, thinking commercially in terms of fees, added value and transparency in our processes. We have no interest and believe one cannot work with every client. It breeds conflict and agencies have got away with playing all sides for too long. If we partner with you that’s it. We do not do duplicity.

We are not a database sweat house full of easily replaceable, homogenised consultants. We are information brokers and experts in a field. Our partners need to know that we do not chase the cheque, nor do we just plug in and send candidates’ CVs we do not know. We are always out there, tracking the talent of the future.

We are innovating how our FTSE and beyond clients even interview and try to encourage processes that cut through corporate facades. If we get it wrong we believe we are accountable. After all when 'hiring the wrong person can cost a business 10 times that person’s annual salary!' the talent market is a much savvier and commercially aware beast than ever before.

We, as agencies need to recognise this and adapt our methods accordingly. Contego is leading the pack in this arena.

Solid Company for Talent Acquisition Professionals
Pros: Working as a Recruitment Consultant has been a good experience. The company fosters a really supportive environment with collaborative colleagues. I appreciate the learning opportunities available in the talent acquisition space, which definitely helps with career development. It's a stable place to work.
Cons: Some of the internal approval processes can be a bit slow. Also, as it's a dynamic staffing industry, there are busy periods that can make work-life balance a bit challenging sometimes. Clearer communication on company-wide initiatives would be helpful.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval workflows and enhancing company-wide communication to ensure everyone is aligned on strategic goals. This would help improve efficiency during peak periods.

Decent Flexibility, But Expect Some Long Weeks
Pros: I really liked the hybrid model, it gave me solid work flexibility. As a Recruitment Consultant, those WFH days helped me juggle my personal stuff with client calls in the staffing industry. It's not too bad.
Cons: However, the work-life balance here isn't always perfect. There are definitely times when client demands mean really late nights, especially when we're pushing hard in the London office. You've gotta be ready for some longer weeks.
Advice to Management: Just try to manage client expectations a bit better so we aren't always working late. More support during those peak times would make a big difference for us consultants.

Decent work-life balance for recruiters here
Pros: I really like the hybrid work model they offer; it helps a lot with personal appointments. It's pretty flexible if you hit your numbers, which is nice. You can mostly keep a 40-hour week in the Austin, TX office.
Cons: Some weeks can get really hectic, especially at month-end with targets. It's a sales-driven role, so there's always pressure. That can definitely spill into personal time sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to recognize when teams are overwhelmed and provide more support. Sometimes the sales targets feel a bit unrealistic, making work-life balance harder for the recruiting roles.
