Sales Associate

Solid team, but culture feels stuck
Pros: I really liked my sales team in the Dallas, TX office. We had good camaraderie and supported each other daily. The benefits for the power tools industry were decent.
Cons: The company culture is pretty rigid for a mid-sized company. It's tough to get new ideas heard, even as a Sales Associate. Leadership talks a lot about change but doesn't always act on it.
Advice to Management: Listen more to your frontline employees, especially for those in sales roles. Modernize your approach to team engagement and career development.

Manufacturing Engineer

Decent people, but flexibility isn't great here.
Pros: I've worked here for a few years as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Detroit office. The team is really solid, and if you need to adjust your schedule for a personal appointment, they're generally understanding. For roles not tied directly to the production floor, there's some wiggle room if you talk to your manager.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really a thing for most of us. A full-time remote option or even a hybrid model isn't available for many core manufacturing roles. You're mostly tied to strict onsite work hours, which can make work-life balance tough.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into offering more flexible work arrangements. Even a 3/2 hybrid model for engineering or administrative staff would make a huge difference. It's tough to attract new talent without it in today's market, especially for roles in the manufacturing industry that don't require constant hands-on presence.
