Okay balance, depends on your client projects
Pros: When you're not on a heavy client project, the hours are pretty reasonable, often around 45-50 hours a week for a Business Analyst. The hybrid model in the New York City office means you get some WFH days. Team camaraderie is solid, which helps when things get tough.
Cons: It can be tough to predict your schedule. Some weeks you're easily hitting 60+ hours, especially right before a big deliverable for management consulting clients. There's not much flexibility during those peak times; you just have to power through.
Advice to Management: Try to staff projects more evenly to avoid extreme spikes in workload. More support during intense client phases would really help with employee burnout.

Culture is Decent, Lots of Client Work
Pros: The team at Global Quest Consulting Group is generally pretty supportive. For a Junior Consultant, it's a good place to learn the ropes of management consulting. There are regular team social events in the New York City office, which helps with bonding.
Cons: Company culture leans heavily into long hours, sometimes 60+ a week, especially with tight client deadlines. This makes it tough to have a good work-life balance and social life. It feels like the main focus is always on billable hours, which can make things feel a bit impersonal.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage better work-life balance for your consultants. More focus on employee well-being, not just client hours, would improve overall morale and reduce burnout.

Culture is decent, but it's a competitive game
Pros: The people on my direct team were generally solid, which helps for daily work. There's a decent camaraderie when you're deep into client projects, especially with other Management Consultants. We'd occasionally have virtual happy hours, which was a nice touch for a remote role.
Cons: It's a pretty competitive culture, not always collaborative. The constant push for billable hours can make things stressful, and social events often take a backseat. I often felt disconnected working remote from Dallas due to the fast pace and lack of informal interaction.
Advice to Management: Focus on fostering genuine team collaboration over just competition. Recognize that remote employees, especially those in demanding consulting roles, need more intentional integration into the company culture to feel connected and valued.

Solid Entry Point for Consulting, Then It Slows
Pros: You get a lot of exposure to diverse client engagement early on. It's a decent place to learn the ropes of management consulting if you're fresh out of college, particularly for junior consulting roles. The New York City office has some good people and a supportive initial team environment.
Cons: Career progression is really slow once you hit a certain point. It feels like you're stuck as an Associate Consultant for a long time without clear paths. There isn't much opportunity for advancement without really pushing hard and waiting for someone to leave, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Create clearer, faster promotion tracks for Associate Consultants. Invest more in specific professional development beyond just project work. This would really help retention and show a commitment to employee growth.
