Pay's okay, benefits could be better though
Pros: The base salary for a Recruiting Coordinator in the Singapore office was okay, not bad for entry-level. We also had a commission structure, which helped if you closed a lot of deals. It's a solid place to learn the ropes of the recruitment industry.
Cons: Beyond the base and commission, the benefits package isn't great. Health insurance felt pretty basic, and there aren't many extra perks. Vacation time is just average, nothing special for a mid-sized startup.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the benefits package beyond just salary. Better health coverage or more PTO would really help with retention in the talent acquisition space. It's tough to compete if you're only offering average perks.

Decent agency, but job security can be shaky
Pros: You get exposed to a lot in the recruitment industry, especially the dynamic Singapore market. It's great for building your network as a recruiter, and there's usually consistent client demand. You learn fast if you're willing to put in the work.
Cons: Job security can feel low for certain roles, especially during market downturns. There's a lot of pressure to hit aggressive sales targets, which impacts morale. Layoffs aren't unheard of when things slow down, making it hard to feel stable.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more stability or clear pathways for employees during slower periods. Better communication about company performance and future plans would help reduce anxiety around job security. Invest more in long-term employee development, not just short-term targets.
