Content Producer

Growth is Slow for Creative Roles Here
Pros: You get to work on diverse media projects, which is solid experience for broadcast and digital content. It's a well-established company in Singapore, so there's decent job security.
Cons: Clear career progression is really hard to find for a Content Producer. Internal promotions felt non-existent, and there's not much investment in skills development. You can feel pretty stuck after a few years in this big corporate structure.
Advice to Management: Create clearer internal progression plans and invest more in training for creative teams. Show employees there's a path forward beyond just lateral moves.

Okay for getting started, but culture is mixed
Pros: You learn a ton, especially as a Junior Content Producer. It's a huge name in the Singapore media industry, so that looks good on your resume. There are some really passionate people here, especially in creative teams doing digital content.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty corporate and can be slow to change. There's a lot of red tape, which makes creative work tough sometimes. Not much work flexibility, it's mostly onsite work.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline processes for creative roles and encourage more cross-department collaboration. Modernize the work arrangements.

Broadcast Engineer

Pay is okay, benefits could be better
Pros: The base salary as a Broadcast Engineer is decent enough for living in Singapore. There's a consistent annual bonus, which is a nice little extra. The health insurance plan is pretty solid too, covering what you need.
Cons: Don't expect huge raises here; they're quite conservative. For a large corporate like Mediacorp, I thought the overall pay and benefit package would be more competitive. You won't get much beyond the standard offerings, especially for digital content roles.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing salary bands to stay more competitive with other players in the television industry. Attracting top talent often requires better compensation.
