Good Place to Learn and Grow in Tech
Pros: I've learned so much here as an Associate Consultant. The teams are really supportive, especially when you're starting out in the ICT industry. There's a lot of opportunity to work on varied tech projects in Singapore, which is great for building experience. The company provides a pretty stable environment, being a large enterprise, and the benefits are decent. It's a solid place for career development if you're proactive.
Cons: Things can sometimes move a bit slowly due to internal processes, so promotions aren't always super quick. We also have occasional busy periods with project deadlines, which can mean longer hours. Communication could also be clearer between different departments sometimes.

Career growth is slow after a few years
Pros: Initially, there's good exposure to different projects and technologies. For junior IT Consultant roles, you get to learn a lot across various clients. It's a solid place to get your foot in the door in the tech industry, especially if you're fresh out of school in Singapore.
Cons: After a couple of years, career growth really plateaus. Promotions for mid-level consultants are super slow, and there isn't a clear path for advancement. It feels like you're stuck doing the same thing. The big corporate structure sometimes makes it hard to pivot into new areas or take on leadership roles without a lot of waiting.
Advice to Management: Need to create clearer progression paths for experienced consultants. Invest more in internal training and opportunities for people to move into more senior or specialized IT roles. Don't just rely on external hires for leadership positions.

Pretty solid job security in IT services
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I felt pretty secure here. There's always a new project in the pipeline for their IT services sector, especially working from the Singapore office. The corporate structure means less unexpected layoffs, which is good.
Cons: Project scopes can change fast, making you wonder what's next. It's not like your job is gone, but the frequent team changes feel a bit unstable sometimes. Wish they'd communicate more clearly about future plans.
Advice to Management: Improve communication around project transitions and team re-shuffles to reduce perceived instability.

Work Flexibility is a Mixed Bag
Pros: Some teams actually do offer a decent hybrid work setup, which is nice. If your manager is cool, you might get a bit more leeway for personal appointments as a System Analyst.
Cons: A lot of projects still demand full onsite presence, even after the pandemic. There's not much WFH option for many roles, especially if you're client-facing. The corporate environment can feel pretty rigid sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look at making hybrid work a standard for more roles across the company. Trust your employees more with remote options, it really helps with morale and retaining talent in this competitive IT services market.

Decent stability if you're flexible
Pros: You get solid job security here, which is great for the tech industry. As an IT Consultant, there's always a new project lined up, so you don't really worry about getting let go. They usually find a spot for you in the Singapore office.
Cons: Sometimes project assignments feel random, and you don't have much say. It can be tough to build specialized skills if you're constantly switching focus. Growth for specific technical roles can be slow.
Advice to Management: Try to give consultants more input on project assignments. It would help with career development and morale if we could focus on specific tech stacks more consistently.

Decent Start, Limited Long-Term Career Growth
Pros: As a Software Engineer, you get to work on some fairly large-scale projects, often involving government contracts. It's a solid place to learn the ropes in IT consulting when you're just starting out.
Cons: Career growth really slows down after your first few years. There isn't a clear path for advancement, especially for senior roles in the Singapore office. It feels like you're stuck.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer career progression paths for experienced employees beyond junior roles. Invest more in internal training for advanced skills and leadership to keep talent engaged.

Decent corporate culture for IT services
Pros: It's a big, established corporate environment, so job security for IT professionals is solid. There's good exposure to various digital transformation projects. You'll definitely learn a lot, especially in the Singapore office, working alongside experienced folks.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty rigid sometimes, not very agile for modern IT services. Decision-making is often slow, which frustrates us as Software Engineers on client projects. Work-life balance can really take a hit during crunch times.
Advice to Management: Try to speed up decision-making processes and embrace more modern work flexibility for IT consultants. It would really help retain talent.

Okay for career, but flexibility is a struggle
Pros: I liked working with my team on various digital transformation projects. It's a big tech firm, so there are resources and learning opportunities for a Software Engineer. The base salary and benefits were pretty decent for the Singapore market.
Cons: The work flexibility here is pretty much non-existent. We were required 5 days a week in the Singapore office, even after the pandemic. It's tough to get any remote work or hybrid options approved. This strict onsite model makes it hard to manage personal life sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously rethink their approach to work flexibility. Offering hybrid or more remote options, especially for IT roles in system integration, would help with employee morale and retention. The current strict onsite model feels outdated.

Leadership is a big mixed bag here
Pros: Job security is pretty solid for IT consulting roles, especially with government clients. You get exposure to big projects which is great experience. The teams I worked with in the Singapore office were always supportive.
Cons: Leadership consistency is a real problem. Some project managers lack clear direction, which makes it tough for software engineers on the ground. Career growth discussions rarely happen, so it feels like you're just delivering.
Advice to Management: Invest in proper leadership training, especially for project managers. They need to understand the technical side better and actively support team members' career paths. Don't just focus on deliverables; focus on people too.

Pay is okay, benefits need a boost.
Pros: The health insurance is pretty solid for the family, which is a big plus. You also get decent leave days, more than some other places in the IT services industry. They offer some basic training for skill development.
Cons: Salary isn't really competitive, especially for a Senior Software Engineer in the Singapore market. The annual bonus isn't great, and raises are pretty small year-to-year. It's tough to negotiate a better package even when you're crushing it on digital transformation projects.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate current salary bands to be more competitive for technical roles. Boost annual bonuses to reflect employee contributions better.
