Decent Flexibility for IT Services, Some Hurdles
Pros: I found the hybrid model pretty solid for a corporate environment. As a Software Engineer, I usually got 2-3 WFH days a week. It really helped manage my personal stuff and avoid the daily commute to the Plano, TX office.
Cons: Sometimes, client projects made it tough to keep those WFH days. You'd have to go onsite without much notice, which messed up my planning. The overall flexibility for IT services roles could be better if they standardized it across all teams.
Advice to Management: Try to make work-from-home policies more consistent across all client projects and teams. It would really help with employee morale and personal planning.

Decent flexibility for some, not all
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is nice. As a Software Engineer, I could usually work from home a couple days a week. It really helped with my commute in Bengaluru, India.
Cons: But it's not consistent across all teams or IT consulting projects. Sometimes I felt stuck onsite for weeks, even when my work could be remote. The policy isn't clearly defined.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid and remote work policies across all divisions and projects. Make it clearer for IT consulting employees what to expect regarding WFH options.

Okay Flexibility, Depends on Your Project
Pros: The remote work arrangement is a huge benefit for IT services professionals. It's great to have the option to WFH and skip the daily commute. This setup really helps with work-life balance most days.
Cons: However, true work flexibility often depends heavily on client demands and project managers. Sometimes you're expected to be online for long stretches, even remotely. The corporate environment can feel a bit rigid when projects are tight.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the work flexibility policies across all projects, not just leave it to individual managers. More consistent expectations for remote teams would be helpful for IT consultant roles.
