A Solid Place to Grow in Tech, Good Stability
Pros: I've really enjoyed my time here as a Software Engineer in Singapore. It's a massive technology group, and I've learned so much working on challenging projects within the defense industry. My colleagues are super supportive, and there are always opportunities to pick up new skills. The environment feels very stable, which is great for long-term career planning. There's a decent focus on professional development and internal training programs.
Cons: While job security is generally good, promotions can feel a bit slow sometimes due to the size of the organization. Also, being part of such a large defense contractor means some internal processes and approvals can be a bit bureaucratic. Communication across different departments could definitely be improved to streamline workflow, especially for those of us on hybrid work schedules.
Advice to Management: Continue to invest in streamlining internal approval processes and enhancing cross-departmental communication, especially for hybrid teams. Expediting the promotion review cycle would also greatly boost employee motivation and retention within our technology teams.
