Okay for entry-level, but growth is tough
Pros: As a Content Moderator, I got decent initial training. You learn a lot about live streaming policies, which is solid industry experience. It's a stable job if you want to work in big tech.
Cons: Career growth here is pretty stagnant for content moderation roles. There's not much room to move up, even in the Singapore office. It's hard to switch departments, you're often stuck doing the same thing.
Advice to Management: Focus more on internal promotions and clear career paths for onsite staff. Invest in upskilling programs for content moderation roles. Help people move beyond their current department.

Decent pay, but forget true work flexibility here
Pros: The pay is definitely competitive for a big tech company. You learn a lot doing mobile app development here, and the project scope is usually pretty cool. My team members are solid; we support each other through the tough sprints.
Cons: Work flexibility is almost non-existent for us as Software Engineers. You're expected to be onsite most days in the Singapore office. Forget about a strong WFH policy or a hybrid model; that's just not how they operate. Long hours are standard, which really impacts your work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider implementing a hybrid work model or at least offering more occasional WFH days. It would boost morale and probably retention. We're in big tech, these practices are common elsewhere.

Okay for a Start, but Not Long-Term
Pros: You learn a lot about content moderation and dealing with a global user base. The pay for entry-level roles is decent for Singapore. It's a big tech company, so there are resources.
Cons: Job security is a real concern for Content Moderator roles here. There's high turnover, and they often switch up contracts or teams without much warning. It makes planning tough.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more stability for content moderation teams. Clearer communication about changes would help retain staff and build trust.
