Great Learning and Flexibility in Commercial Real Estate
Pros: Working as a Real Estate Analyst in commercial real estate at CBRE Asia Pacific has been rewarding. I've gained valuable learning opportunities from a supportive team. The hybrid work model in Singapore offers great work flexibility for a better work-life balance, plus decent job security.
Cons: Approval processes can be slow, occasionally impacting project timelines. While work flexibility is a huge plus, busy periods in the industry do mean longer hours, which is to be expected.
Advice to Management: Consider ways to streamline internal approval processes to enhance project efficiency and reduce potential delays.

Solid Place for a Career in Commercial Real Estate
Pros: I've really enjoyed my time at CBRE Asia Pacific as a Financial Analyst. It's a great place to build a career in commercial real estate, especially if you're keen on learning the ropes. The teams are generally supportive, and I've gained a ton of valuable experience in financial modeling and market analysis. The pay and benefits are quite competitive for the industry here in Singapore, which is a big plus. It's a stable company with a global presence.
Cons: While it's a solid company, the sheer size means that things can move a bit slowly sometimes, especially with internal approvals. Career progression, while possible, can feel a little drawn out compared to smaller firms. Also, like any role in this industry, there are definitely busy periods where the work-life balance can get a bit tricky, but it's manageable overall.
Advice to Management: Continue to streamline internal processes and ensure clearer communication regarding career progression paths to help employees understand how to advance more efficiently within the company.

Great Place to Learn and Grow in Commercial Real Estate
Pros: I've really enjoyed my time here as a Financial Analyst in the commercial real estate industry. It's a solid company with a good reputation. The best part is definitely the learning opportunities; I've gained so much experience in financial modeling and market analysis. My team in Singapore is super supportive, and I always feel like I can ask questions and get help. There's a clear path for career development if you put in the work.
Cons: While there are good opportunities for career growth, sometimes the promotion process can feel a bit slow, especially for mid-level roles. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. Also, like many large companies, some of the internal approval processes can be a bit clunky and take a while.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining some of the internal approval processes to increase efficiency. Also, consider reviewing the pace of promotions for experienced individual contributors to ensure top talent feels continually valued and challenged.
