Pros: There's some stability being part of a big multinational in the electronics manufacturing industry. They do have ongoing projects for interconnect solutions which helps keep things steady. Even if your specific team gets restructured, there's a decent chance to move internally, which is a plus for job security.
Cons: However, it feels like layoffs are always a possibility, especially with market fluctuations. This makes planning for the future tough for us in the Singapore office. Sometimes new initiatives mean older roles disappear quickly, leaving you a bit exposed.
Advice to Management: Management should be more upfront about long-term plans and how market changes impact jobs. Better communication could really ease employee worries and boost morale across all our manufacturing sites.

Pros: The pay is okay for semiconductor manufacturing roles. You learn a lot about different production lines which is good experience. Some of the team members are really solid.
Cons: Work flexibility is almost nonexistent. As a Process Engineer, you're expected onsite five days a week with no hybrid or WFH options. This makes managing personal stuff incredibly tough.
Advice to Management: Seriously, consider offering some actual work flexibility. Even a few hybrid days would make a huge difference for employee morale and retention, especially in the San Jose market. It's not sustainable.
