Technical Support Specialist

Okay culture, but needs some modernizing.
Pros: I've found a solid team spirit in the Marseille office. People generally help each other out, especially in my Technical Support Specialist role. It's a pretty stable place because it's a long-standing family-owned corporate group.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit old-school sometimes. Decision-making for new power solutions initiatives feels slow. There's not much push for work flexibility; it's mostly an onsite setup.
Advice to Management: Try to embrace more modern work practices and encourage innovation. Speed up decision-making for new technologies and consider more flexible work options for employees.

Decent Work Flexibility, Room for Improvement
Pros: The company really embraced a hybrid model after COVID, which is a big plus. For us in engineering roles, you can often work from home a couple of days. This helps with work-life balance in the Strasbourg, France office, cutting down on the commute.
Cons: It's not truly flexible across the board though. Some departments, especially those tied to manufacturing or labs for critical power solutions, have to be onsite all the time. There's no real full-time remote option if you're an Electrical Engineer, which can be tough. Management can be a bit rigid about WFH for certain projects.
Advice to Management: Management should really look at how to offer more consistent work flexibility across all teams. It would boost morale and help attract top engineering talent, especially for critical power projects. Don't be so rigid with WFH policies.

Solid experience, but growth can be slow
Pros: You get deep knowledge in critical power and electrical equipment here. The initial training for Sales Engineers is pretty thorough. It's also a stable, corporate type of place, so job security felt decent.
Cons: Career growth is definitely slow, especially in sales. I didn't see many paths for moving up. It felt like you had to wait for someone to retire to get promoted. Not much internal movement.
Advice to Management: They should really work on defining clearer career paths. More opportunities for internal promotion would make a big difference for employee retention.
