Pros: Working as a Project Coordinator at Almac Group in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, a pharmaceutical CDMO, has been quite good. It's a stable environment with supportive teams. I've had solid learning opportunities on various drug development projects. The hybrid work setup is a big bonus, offering valuable flexibility.
Cons: Career progression can feel slow, which is common in a large, regulated company. Also, some internal approval processes can sometimes drag on. It’s not ideal but manageable.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining some of the internal approval processes to increase efficiency. Also, clear pathways for career progression would be greatly appreciated by employees looking to advance.

Pros: You get solid benefits for a global company, which is great for job security. The work in clinical trials is genuinely impactful, and the teams are generally collaborative. I appreciate the core hours are somewhat predictable, allowing for some personal planning.
Cons: Work flexibility for my Clinical Trial Associate role is pretty tough. There isn't much wiggle room for working from home, especially in the Craigavon office. It often feels like you're stuck to a rigid onsite schedule, which can be draining for those 40-hour weeks.
Advice to Management: Please reconsider hybrid options for roles like Clinical Trial Associates that don't require constant lab presence. More flexibility would really boost morale and retain talent in the pharmaceutical services industry.

Pros: My immediate project managers were usually supportive. They do a good job with training for new CRAs getting into clinical trials. It's good to have that hands-on guidance, especially working hybrid from our North Carolina office.
Cons: Higher-up leadership often feels out of touch with daily operations for us on the ground. There's not always clear communication from senior management about company strategy or changes, which can be frustrating for a Clinical Research Associate trying to plan their workload.
Advice to Management: Senior leadership should really try to connect more with employees in roles like Clinical Research Associate. More transparent communication about company direction would help a lot.
