Supportive Culture and Good Learning in Real Estate
Pros: I truly appreciate the collaborative and supportive spirit among my colleagues within the property management team. There are always ample learning opportunities in the commercial real estate sector, especially being part of a global company like CBRE. It feels like a very stable environment, which is excellent for long-term career development. The onsite work model definitely helps foster stronger team bonds.
Cons: While the company culture is generally positive, the promotion process can sometimes feel a bit slow for such a large corporate environment. Also, there are periods, especially during critical project deadlines or major lease renewals, where work-life balance can be challenging due to higher workload in this dynamic industry.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining internal promotion pathways to recognize and reward high-performing employees more efficiently. Also, focus on ensuring a more consistent workload distribution across different teams to further enhance work-life balance for everyone in this competitive industry.

Solid corporate culture, but can be slow.
Pros: You get great exposure to the Singapore real estate market. Some teams are genuinely nice and collaborative, especially helpful for new analysts. It's a stable environment for building a career in a global firm like CBRE.
Cons: Innovation isn't really a focus; things move very slowly, which can be frustrating. There's a lot of old-school hierarchy, making it tough to suggest new ideas. Also, work-life balance for onsite roles in the Singapore office can be rough during peak times.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering teams to make decisions faster. Reducing the red tape would definitely improve morale and efficiency for us working in commercial real estate. Encourage a bit more modern thinking.

Pay's okay, but benefits could be better
Pros: As a Property Administrator in the Singapore office, the base salary is pretty decent for a corporate role in commercial real estate. They do have a pretty solid medical insurance plan too, which is a big plus.
Cons: Bonuses aren't super clear or consistent; I've seen them fluctuate a lot year to year. The annual increment for us Property Administrator roles feels pretty standard, not much room for big jumps without a promotion.
Advice to Management: Clarify the bonus structure and make it more transparent. Consider more competitive annual increments, especially for long-term employees in essential support functions.
