Culture's okay, but long hours for hotel staff
Pros: The team here, especially other guest services officers, are really supportive. We help each other out during tough shifts. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among the frontline hospitality industry staff.
Cons: The work-life balance isn't great, especially for anyone in hotel operations. You're often working long hours, and management can be slow to approve overtime or extra help. It feels like they expect a lot without always giving back.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at staffing levels for frontline roles. It would really help improve morale and reduce burnout for your team in the Singapore hotel.
