Pros: Job security here is pretty good for Research Scientist positions. I always felt stable, especially in the San Diego office's core R&D department. They don't do crazy layoffs and the health and nutrition industry keeps things steady.
Cons: Career advancement isn't super clear sometimes; it's hard to move up without someone leaving. Work flexibility could also be better; it's mostly onsite work, even post-pandemic, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Try to create more clear paths for career growth, especially for long-term employees. Maybe offer more hybrid work options too.

Pros: Good training for new QC Specialists in the Irvine, CA office. My direct manager was really solid. They do care about following GMP standards, which is important for nutraceuticals, making the work feel impactful.
Cons: Senior leadership can feel out of touch sometimes. They make decisions without understanding daily operations for production or quality control. There's not a lot of transparency, so it's tough to see how big picture company goals connect to my daily tasks. Leadership changes direction quickly, which creates extra work for the R&D and manufacturing teams.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with your team. Get feedback from different departments before making big changes. Your decisions impact the production and QC teams directly, especially when it comes to new product development or process changes.
