Solid place for data center professionals to grow
Pros: Working as a Data Center Engineer, I appreciate the challenging projects and learning opportunities in critical infrastructure. The team in Dallas is highly collaborative, making it a supportive environment. It's a stable company in the growing data center industry.
Cons: Sometimes the workload can be intense, especially during major deployments, impacting work-life balance. Also, while there's growth, the path to promotion might feel a bit slow or unclear at times.
Advice to Management: Continue to focus on transparent career pathing and explore ways to mitigate intense workload peaks for better work-life balance across the teams.

Decent Flexibility for Onsite Roles
Pros: For Data Center Technician roles, you can swap shifts sometimes, which is good. It's tough in critical infrastructure to get any flexibility, so it's decent for onsite work. The company usually understands family emergencies.
Cons: Remote work isn't an option if you're directly involved in data center operations. There's no real work-from-home policy for people like us. Planning ahead for WFH isn't a thing, which makes personal stuff harder.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more predictable schedules for the onsite teams. It helps with burnout in critical infrastructure and allows for better personal planning.

Pay's Solid for Onsite Data Center Roles
Pros: As a Data Center Technician, the base pay is pretty solid for the colocation data center industry. The 401k match is a decent perk, helps with long-term planning. You get consistent hours working onsite at the Atlanta, GA facility.
Cons: Health insurance benefits aren't great; the deductibles feel really high. Bonuses aren't consistent year-to-year, so don't count on them for a significant boost. There's not much transparency for salary increases beyond standard annual bumps at this corporate company.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the health benefits packages and consider more structured bonus programs for all employees, especially for our onsite teams.
