Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty competitive, especially in the Bay Area. My compensation package included decent health insurance and a 401k match. It's good for a growing mid-sized tech company in the EV charging space.
Cons: Stock options are kinda low compared to other startups. The pay raises aren't super frequent, and there's not much transparency around bonus structures. For senior EV charging roles, the total comp isn't always top-tier.
Advice to Management: Look into increasing stock option grants and make the bonus structure clearer. Better benefits packages would also help attract and retain top talent for our EV charging infrastructure projects.

Pros: My direct team lead was solid. They really supported us in our software development tasks. We also had good autonomy building features for our EV charging solutions. The hybrid work setup in the San Francisco Bay Area was decent too.
Cons: Executive leadership is a big problem. Their strategic vision for Charge+ changes too often. This makes planning tough for engineering teams. Communication from the top down isn't clear, which affects overall company direction.
Advice to Management: Please work on consistent strategic planning. Improve transparency and communication from the executive team. Give direct managers more say in major decisions to empower their engineering teams.
