Pros: What's good about working here? The brand recognition is strong, and the training for new baristas is pretty solid. You learn a lot about retail operations and customer service which is great for building experience. The store environment is generally welcoming, making it an okay first job.
Cons: Leadership can be really inconsistent between different Starbucks locations in Singapore. Some store managers are great, but others don't really know how to support their team. There's not much clarity on career growth paths for us frontline staff. It often felt like upper management wasn't listening to ground-level feedback.
Advice to Management: Starbucks Singapore's corporate leadership really needs to invest more in manager training and development. There's a big gap in leadership quality, and it impacts team morale. Listen to your baristas more; we have ideas to improve things. Standardize best practices across all stores.
