Pros: The base salary for my Research Scientist role in the Miami, FL office was pretty solid. For a specialized aquaculture company, it's competitive enough to get by in this industry.
Cons: But the health insurance deductibles are really high, which eats into your take-home. There aren't many bonuses or extra perks for those of us doing onsite work, which is a bummer.
Advice to Management: Look into better health insurance options for employees. Also, consider implementing a bonus structure or some small perks to boost morale and retention, especially for our dedicated onsite team members.
