Pros: The colleagues in the Singapore office are genuinely supportive, which helps a lot when projects get tough. It's a stable environment in the construction industry, and you get to work on some significant infrastructure projects.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle, particularly for Project Engineer roles that require constant onsite presence. Expect pretty long work weeks, sometimes more than 50 hours, and it's not always compensated fairly.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into improving work-life balance for project delivery teams. Fairer overtime compensation or better resource planning would make a huge difference in employee morale.
