Pros: I learned a lot about the MICE industry as a Project Coordinator here. You get hands-on experience with big events pretty fast. The team in the Singapore office was generally supportive, which helped when things got hectic.
Cons: Career growth is really slow at this corporate setup. It's tough for event professionals to get promoted, even after a few years. You often do the same tasks with little opportunity for development or moving up the ladder.
Advice to Management: Please invest in clearer career paths and professional development for junior staff. Create more opportunities for internal promotion. It would help a lot with retention.

Pros: I've had some really supportive managers who helped me learn a lot about large-scale event management. The direct team leadership for specific trade shows was often solid, especially when we were pushing hard in the Singapore office.
Cons: Upper leadership sometimes gives conflicting directives, making things tough for Exhibition Managers on the ground. There's not always a clear strategic vision, which can be frustrating. Long hours, especially around event time, are a given with the onsite work.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication from the top and empower team leads more. A better strategy for managing workloads, especially for those in event management roles, would help a lot.
