Job Security Can Be a Real Rollercoaster
Pros: If you're working as a Project Coordinator on a big, long-term offshore project, things feel pretty stable. It's a big corporate company, so there's usually some warning if changes are coming. They do try to keep good people.
Cons: The energy sector is super volatile, which makes job security feel pretty shaky at times. When new offshore projects slow down, you start to worry about headcount. It's tough not knowing what's next.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the project pipeline and what market shifts mean for staffing. It would help ease some of the job security worries for us here in the Houston, TX office.
