Donor Relations Specialist

Good Mission, but Culture Needs Polish
Pros: The best part is working for a cause you believe in; it's genuinely inspiring. My colleagues in donor relations were really passionate about international development work. Plus, the hybrid work option from our Mississauga office was a big help for work-life balance.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty bureaucratic sometimes, which slows things down. Decision-making is often a slog, especially for new initiatives. It's tough to see clear paths for career growth as a Donor Relations Specialist in the non-profit sector here.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline processes and empower teams more. Focus on internal growth and development, especially for mid-level roles. Improve transparency around career progression.
