Fast-paced Fintech, but Demanding Culture
Pros: I liked how collaborative the marketing team was; everyone was super supportive. There's a lot of opportunity to learn new things quickly in the fintech industry, especially about digital campaigns and trading platforms. Plus, working from the Singapore office means you're right in the action.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough as an Associate Marketing Manager. It's common to work late, sometimes 10-12 hour days, especially before product launches. The pressure to hit targets is really high, which affects team morale sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into employee burnout. More realistic workloads and clear boundaries would really help boost morale and retention in the long run.

Demanding but good for career growth
Pros: The teams are really collaborative here, especially for software engineers working on the trading platform. I've learned a ton about fintech and worked with some smart people. The compensation for a global fintech company in Singapore is actually pretty competitive.
Cons: Work-life balance is a huge challenge. As a software engineer, I often found myself working really long hours, sometimes 60+ hour weeks, especially before big releases on the investment apps. There's a strong expectation to be always-on, and it's mostly an onsite role in the Singapore office.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously look at the workload expectations for engineers. It's not sustainable to push for 60-hour weeks regularly. More focus on actual work-life balance initiatives, not just talking about it, would help prevent burnout and retain talent in this competitive fintech market.

Leadership's fine, but has room to grow
Pros: You get to learn a lot about the brokerage industry here, which is cool. My direct manager was usually pretty supportive, especially when it came to understanding our trading platform. The team vibe in the Singapore office is often pretty solid too.
Cons: Upper management can feel really distant from what we do day-to-day as a Financial Product Specialist. Decisions sometimes just drop without much explanation, which makes it tough for the teams. The overall vision isn't always super clear, making it hard to align on priorities.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more clearly, especially the 'why' behind major decisions. Engage with teams on the ground more often; it makes a huge difference for morale and alignment in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
