Culture is okay, but it gets intense
Pros: The collaborative spirit among my fellow Software Engineers is a huge plus. We help each other out, and there's a good sense of camaraderie, especially in the Singapore office. You learn a lot if you're keen to jump into new tech stacks.
Cons: The company culture pushes for a lot of overtime, which impacts work-life balance. It's often hard to disconnect, even with the hybrid work model. Sometimes it feels like there's not enough appreciation for the effort put in by the engineering team.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into setting clearer boundaries for project timelines and expectations. This would help reduce burnout and improve the overall work-life balance for all tech roles. Acknowledge hard work more often.

Okay Flexibility, But Needs More Trust
Pros: I liked the team. Everyone in software development was super collaborative. The hybrid work model initially sounded good, offering two WFH days, which is pretty common for tech startup roles here.
Cons: Work flexibility really isn't what they advertised. Even with hybrid, you're expected to be online constantly. It's tough for a Junior Software Engineer to feel trusted, especially in the Singapore office, when management tracks your every move.
Advice to Management: Trust your employees more with hybrid schedules. Micromanaging remote hours defeats the purpose of work flexibility and just burns people out.
