Pros: Some senior leaders in the energy trading space are really sharp. You can learn a lot from direct managers who actually care about your growth as a Project Manager in the Singapore office. The pay for this kind of corporate energy role is decent.
Cons: The higher-ups often feel disconnected from the day-to-day work here. Strategic decisions can feel pretty sudden, with little explanation to us on the ground. Transparency isn't their strong suit; it's tough when you don't always know what's coming next for the energy tech projects.
Advice to Management: Work on improving communication channels from senior leadership down to the teams. More transparency about company direction and project priorities would really help morale and project execution for us Project Managers.
