Pros: As a Software Engineer here, the base salary is pretty competitive. It's what you'd expect from a big tech company in Seattle, WA. The 401k matching is also decent, not amazing but solid.
Cons: Health insurance premiums are quite high; they really eat into your paycheck. Bonuses aren't as generous as other companies for similar tech roles. There's also not much transparency around salary bands.
Advice to Management: Look into lowering health insurance costs and increasing bonus transparency for technical roles. It would help a lot with retention.

Pros: I appreciate the remote work option; it's a huge plus. Working remote from Austin really cuts down on commute stress. As a Software Engineer, I can usually manage my own schedule which helps.
Cons: But it's not always great. Some software development sprints mean long hours, even with WFH. There's definitely an expectation to be online a lot, even if projects finish early.
Advice to Management: Managers need to truly protect evenings and weekends. Don't let projects continuously bleed into personal time.

Pros: The hybrid model is solid. You can work from home two days a week, which is great for appointments. As a Software Engineer, I found it pretty manageable to get my deep work done.
Cons: It's not truly flexible if you're not in engineering. Some project teams in the Seattle office have stricter onsite requirements. The mandated office days feel a bit arbitrary sometimes.
Advice to Management: Standardize flexibility across all departments, not just engineering. Give teams more autonomy on WFH days.
