Leadership can be a mixed bag here
Pros: I've had some really solid managers who genuinely cared about developing their teams. They offered clear guidance on client campaigns and were good mentors. The hybrid work model is also a plus, letting us balance office and WFH days.
Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistent leadership at higher levels. It's hard to get clear decisions sometimes, and that impacts project timelines for us in client services. There's also some micromanagement from certain directors, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Senior leadership needs to get on the same page and provide a unified vision. More consistent training for managers on effective delegation versus micromanaging would really help morale and efficiency for roles like Account Manager.

Career Growth is a Bit of a Mixed Bag
Pros: As an Account Manager, I got a lot of exposure to different clients and projects within the advertising industry. You can definitely build up your client services portfolio here. There's potential to learn if you're proactive and seek out opportunities.
Cons: Is there career growth here? Honestly, it's tough. There isn't a clear promotion path or structured training programs for agency roles. Upward mobility feels slow, especially for those of us in the New York office.
Advice to Management: Invest in structured career development plans and mentorship for employees. Make promotion criteria transparent for all levels, especially for client services staff, to retain good talent.

Account Coordinator

Job Security is a Bit of a Rollercoaster
Pros: It's a solid place to learn a lot, especially as an entry-level Account Coordinator. When client accounts are stable, there's good project flow. The onsite team in Detroit, MI is really collaborative, which makes daily work engaging.
Cons: But job security for junior roles like mine felt pretty shaky at times. There have been a few layoffs during slower periods, which is tough in a marketing agency setting. It's hard to feel totally secure when things can change so quickly.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about upcoming projects and potential staffing changes. It would help ease the worry for employees, especially those in Account Coordinator roles.
