Pretty decent stability for a tech startup
Pros: For a tech startup, the job security here is actually pretty solid. We haven't had massive layoffs. As a Software Engineer working remote from Austin, TX, I felt generally secure in my role, which is a big deal in this industry.
Cons: Still, it's a startup, so you always have that underlying uncertainty. They did let go of a few junior devs last year, which made some of us nervous. There's also no clear long-term growth path for engineering roles, making me wonder about future stability.
Advice to Management: Keep communication clear about the company's financial health. Also, try to map out clearer career progression for engineering roles to improve retention and perceived job security.
