Pros: There are definitely some great team leads, especially for us on the software development side. They truly care and give good feedback. As a Project Manager, I've had decent autonomy to get things done, which is a big plus.
Cons: The bigger issue is the top-level leadership. They don't always communicate their vision clearly, and it causes a lot of confusion for agile teams. Decisions sometimes feel arbitrary, especially in our hybrid model.
Advice to Management: Senior leadership needs to work on consistent messaging and involving department heads more in strategic planning. That would really improve things for everyone, including those of us in the Austin, Texas office.

Pros: I liked the hybrid work model. As a Software Engineer, having 2-3 days in the Austin, TX office was fine. It gave a good balance for collaborative projects while still having WFH days at this mid-sized tech company.
Cons: Sometimes flexibility felt team-dependent. If your manager wasn't fully on board, it was tough to really use the 'flex' part of hybrid. Certain projects also pushed for more onsite time than ideal, making 'hybrid' feel more 'onsite-heavy' for my role.
Advice to Management: Ensure consistent application of hybrid policies across all teams. Empower managers to truly support flexibility, not just pay lip service to it. Clearly define what 'hybrid' means for different roles and projects.
