Pros: As a Software Engineer, the work flexibility here is solid. I've been working remote from Austin, and it's nice to manage my own time. Core hours are there, but you can usually adjust your daily schedule for appointments or family. It's a huge plus for WFH folks.
Cons: Sometimes those core hours (10 AM - 4 PM CST) feel a bit long. It limits how truly flexible your day can be at this HR tech startup. There's also an unspoken expectation to be available outside these times if something urgent pops up. It can be tough for last-minute changes.
Advice to Management: Trust employees more with asynchronous work. Lighten up on core hour expectations to truly embrace the remote work model.
