Software Engineer

Okay for now, but startup life is always uncertain.
Pros: For Software Engineer roles, the project work felt pretty stable within our cloud services team. The company has been growing overall, which helps create opportunities. My team in the San Francisco office felt pretty secure for a while.
Cons: There were some unexpected layoffs this year across the tech industry, and Neon wasn't immune. It really shook people's confidence in long-term stability. As a tech startup, job security just isn't as solid as big corporate companies.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. Clear communication about headcount changes can really help employee morale and reduce anxiety.
