Supportive Team and Good Flexibility in Luxury Hotel
Pros: Working as a Guest Services Associate for this luxury hotel in the hospitality industry has been a good experience. The team is supportive and I've learned a ton about guest service. They offer solid flexibility with shifts, which is a huge plus for my work-life balance.
Cons: Sometimes during peak seasons, it can get really demanding. Communication across departments could be smoother to ensure a seamless guest experience. Also, the approval process for special guest requests sometimes feels a bit slow.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining inter-departmental communication, especially during peak times, to enhance efficiency. Also, look into speeding up the approval process for special guest requests to better serve our luxury clientele.

Tough to Get Flexible Shifts in Hospitality
Pros: They do a solid job with benefits for a large hotel chain, which is nice. You get a set schedule once it's made, so you know what to expect for your onsite shifts. It's stable work if you're looking for a steady gig in the hotel industry.
Cons: Work flexibility is pretty tough for Front Desk Agent roles here in Miami, FL. Swapping shifts or getting time off last minute feels impossible sometimes, which can be a real pain. You're expected to be 100% onsite; remote work isn't an option at all for these positions.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer more flexibility for staff, especially for those in guest services. Even a little more understanding for shift changes would boost morale big time.

Tough to get consistent hours here
Pros: The team is usually pretty good, and you learn a lot about hotel operations quickly. It's a solid place to start if you're new to guest services, and the benefits are decent for the hospitality industry.
Cons: Getting days off or swapping shifts feels impossible sometimes. They really don't offer much work flexibility for onsite roles, especially with the constant shift work. You're pretty much stuck with what's on the schedule.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more consistent scheduling or a better system for shift swaps. It would really help morale for employees in guest-facing roles.

Solid Luxury Hotel Job, But Flexibility Lacks
Pros: You get pretty good benefits for a large hotel chain, which is nice. The team in luxury hospitality is usually supportive if you need a shift covered and plan way ahead. It's a stable job in the Orlando area.
Cons: Work flexibility is tough for onsite roles like a Guest Services Representative. It's mostly rigid shift work; last-minute changes are almost impossible. Don't expect much WFH or schedule freedom here.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more flexible scheduling tools or options for frontline staff, like Guest Services Representatives. It would really help with employee retention and morale in this competitive hospitality market.

Hotel Operations Manager

Tough on flexibility in hotel operations
Pros: I've learned a ton about high-end guest services here. The team in Miami, FL is genuinely supportive, which helps a lot. It's a pretty stable gig within the corporate hotel industry.
Cons: But work flexibility? It's almost non-existent for us. As a Hotel Operations Manager, you're always stuck onsite. Changing shifts is hard, and you can forget about trying to WFH for any part of your job.
Advice to Management: Honestly, consider giving more flexibility where possible, even small things. It'd make a big difference for people in hospitality management roles. It's tough to plan anything personal when your schedule is so rigid.
