Okay Flexibility for Higher Ed, Could Be Better
Pros: I liked the option to work a couple of days remotely, which is great for a Program Coordinator like me. The higher education sector isn't always known for flexibility, so this was a plus. It helped cut down on my commute to the Fontainebleau campus.
Cons: It's not truly flexible though. You're expected to be in the office most of the week, even for tasks that could easily be done from home. The hybrid model felt more like a requirement than a true choice sometimes. Also, getting approvals for any schedule changes was a bit of a bureaucratic process.
Advice to Management: Truly embrace the hybrid model; trust employees more with remote work decisions, especially for administrative roles. Streamline the approval process for schedule adjustments.

Decent place, but culture needs work
Pros: I've learned a ton about the executive education industry, which is a big plus for my career. The team I worked with directly as a Program Coordinator was really supportive, and the Fontainebleau, France campus itself is beautiful for onsite staff.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty old-school and rigid for administrative roles. It's tough to get new ideas heard, and communication from senior leadership often feels disconnected from daily operations.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving internal communication and empowering teams to take initiative. A more open culture would help staff feel valued and could really boost morale.

Solid Stability for Educational Roles, Good Perks
Pros: Job security here is pretty good for us Program Managers. They don't just cut staff willy-nilly. Being an established institution like this business school helps a lot. It feels stable long-term.
Cons: Sometimes, new program initiatives can feel a bit shaky if enrollment numbers dip. It's not a huge threat, but you can feel budget tightening. There aren't many big promotion opportunities for academic staff.
Advice to Management: Try to make career growth pathways clearer for existing staff. Don't let new program funding uncertainties stress out the teams on the Fontainebleau campus. Communicate budget shifts better.

Decent Start, But Career Path Gets Murky
Pros: The initial training is pretty good for new hires. You learn a lot really fast working in a professional services environment. As a Junior Consultant, you get exposed to diverse projects quickly.
Cons: Career growth slows down significantly after your first year here. It's tough to see a clear path for consulting roles beyond the associate level in the Paris office. There's not enough mentorship to help you advance.
Advice to Management: Clearly define career paths for mid-level consultants. Provide more structured mentorship programs and invest in internal mobility to retain talent.

Good for early career, but it's a grind
Pros: If you're fresh out of school, this global firm gives you a ton of exposure. As an Associate Consultant, I got to jump on diverse strategy projects right away. You learn fast here, that's for sure.
Cons: The career progression can feel slow after your first promotion though. There's not much formal mentorship past the initial onboarding, which makes it tough to move up for higher-level consulting roles. Also, the Paris office hours are pretty long.
Advice to Management: Focus more on structured career pathing for mid-level consultants. A stronger mentorship program would help people feel supported and see a clearer future here.

Hybrid is okay, but could improve for flexibility
Pros: We do have a hybrid work model, which is great for a big corporate place like this. As a Program Manager, I appreciate not being in the office five days a week. It offers some WFH days, which is a solid perk.
Cons: The flexibility isn't consistent across all teams or for all administrative staff roles. Sometimes it feels like you're tied to strict office hours even with the hybrid setup. There's not much room to shift schedules or work truly remotely from other locations, which impacts overall work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Be more consistent with hybrid policies across departments. Give teams more autonomy for flexible hours where possible, especially for longer-term employees.

Some WFH, but not truly flexible for program managers
Pros: It's nice that they do offer some work-from-home days, usually 2 days a week for many roles. This hybrid work setup is a good start for a corporate environment like this. I appreciate not being in the Singapore office five days a week.
Cons: Honestly, for a Program Manager, true flexibility is tough. While WFH is there, it's not really trusted, and you're expected to be super responsive. Getting full remote options or adjusting hours significantly isn't really on the table, which can make things hard.
Advice to Management: Leadership should really look into better support for true work-life balance and flexible hours. Trusting employees more with remote options beyond just a few days a week would make a huge difference in the academic institution.
