Cloud & Data Engineering Support Hub in Istanbul, playing a key role in building its technical capabilities from the ground up (0→1 phase).

As part of a major expansion, we are building a
high-performance Cloud & Data Engineering support center.
We are currently hiring
Senior Cloud & Data Engineers / Technical Support Engineer capable of:
- Handling complex cloud and data infrastructure incidents
- Supporting data-driven architectures and big data platforms
- Collaborating closely with global engineering and product teams
💼 Position & Responsibilities
You will join a team of 7 senior engineers and report directly to your manager.
🔧 1. Advanced Cloud & Data Engineering Support
- Provide L1/L2/L3 support, acting as the final escalation point for critical P0/P1 incidents
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-native and data architectures, including:
- Distributed systems
- Big data platforms
- Data pipelines and storage solutions
- Investigate production issues using advanced observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing)
- Analyze performance bottlenecks in data workflows, databases, and infrastructure layers
- Lead incident war rooms, interacting with senior stakeholders (CTO, Heads of Data, IT Directors)
🧠 2. Product, Data & Engineering Collaboration
- Escalate issues with deep technical analysis and architectural insights
- Collaborate with R&D, backend, and data engineering teams
- Identify data architecture gaps, recurring issues, and scalability limitations
- Contribute to product evolution (data platforms, APIs, storage systems)
- Deliver detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports with a strong data perspective
☁️ 3. Cloud & Data Architecture Excellence
- Conduct technical audits and architecture reviews for enterprise clients
- Design and validate:
- High-Availability (HA) systems
- Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies
- Scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms
- Support cloud migration and data modernization programs
- Advise on:
- Data performance optimization
- Cost optimization of large-scale workloads
- Security and governance (data compliance, access control)
📊 4. Data Platform Optimization & Governance
- Optimize data storage, compute usage, and resource allocation
- Improve data pipeline efficiency and reliability (batch, streaming, ETL/ELT)
- Support customers in implementing data governance best practices
- Ensure alignment with Well-Architected Framework principles (cost, performance, reliability, security)
📚 5. Knowledge & Best Practices
- Write high-quality:
- Incident reports
- Post-mortems
- Data architecture playbooks
- Build internal Cloud & Data Engineering standards for the Istanbul hub
- Mentor junior engineers and enhance team capabilities
🔄 6. Shift Participation
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating schedule
- Midnight shift (:once/month) with compensation
- Weekend and public holiday rotations

👨💼 DESIRED PROFILE
🎓 Education & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or IT-related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in:
- Cloud Engineering / Data Engineering
- DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale or Fortune 500 environments
- Proven ability to handle complex, high-pressure technical incidents
⚙️ TECHNICAL SKILLS (Cloud & Data Focus)
☁️ Cloud & Infrastructure
- Strong experience with public cloud platforms (IaaS / PaaS)
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Linux/Windows systems
- Networking (VPC, VPN, BGP, hybrid connectivity)
- Experience with distributed architectures and microservices
📊 Data Engineering & Big Data
- Hands-on experience with:
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQL Server
- Search/analytics: Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of data platforms and big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with data pipelines and processing frameworks
🚀 Cloud-Native & DevOps
- Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation (or equivalent)
- Experience with:
- Event-driven architectures
- Serverless computing
🤖 Automation & Scripting
- Strong scripting skills: Python, Go, or Shell
- Ability to automate operations and improve system reliability (SRE mindset)
🧠 Soft Skills
- Excellent communication (especially during major incidents)
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities
- Customer-centric mindset with high service ownership
- Ability to collaborate in global, cross-functional teams
- Strong autonomy and adaptability
🌐 Language Requirements
- Mandatory: English + (Turkish or Arabic)
- Ability to:
- Write detailed RCA reports
- Conduct technical discussions with senior stakeholders
- Additional languages are a plus: Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese
💰 Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly salary: 87,700 TRY – 165,000 TRY (depending on experience)
- Employment via EOR with annual renewal
