Work-Life Balance is a Real Push Here
Pros: You get decent holiday allowance, which is a plus for a corporate recruitment job. It's okay if you manage your pipeline well as a Recruitment Consultant and hit targets. The team in the London office is generally supportive.
Cons: But the hours can be super long, especially with client demands in financial services recruitment. It's tough to really switch off, even remote, there's always something to do. The pressure to perform definitely impacts your personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce better boundaries and support consultants in managing client expectations. More focus on employee wellbeing would help.

Decent place for recruiting, but watch market shifts
Pros: The base salary for a Recruitment Consultant is solid here, and there's good commission potential if you hit your targets. They do invest in some training for junior staff. The company culture is pretty tight-knit within teams, which helps get you through tough periods.
Cons: Job security can feel a bit shaky during market downturns, especially for contract or interim roles. There's a lot of pressure to perform, and if your desk isn't performing, you definitely feel it. It's tough when the financial services industry slows down, as this impacts everyone.
Advice to Management: Consider clearer communication during market shifts about potential job impact, especially for the more volatile desks. More support for struggling desks could also improve morale and reduce turnover.
