Gump is all about empowering creators with technology.
Our mission is to infuse our world with more creativity, passion and memories. In 2 years, our platform has already supported over 11,000 photographers and 500,000 end users, transferring more than 20 million photos across 1,700 cities in Southeast Asia.
While we began as a utility tool to solve real problems in photographers’ workflow, we are now the largest active photographer community in the whole of Southeast Asia (Vietnam and Indonesia, in particular), strategically-positioned in the new creator economy that is now worth over US$104 billion.
Photos on our platform are exclusive assets that have tremendous value to various marketers, brands and corporations. They could unlock important value for the traditional stock photography market which typically lacks Asian faces, candid (non-staged) images and an efficient mechanism for acquiring model consents.
Our photos are also the seeds to rights to NFTs or different forms of generative art. These have been validated through our recent successful partnerships with some of the biggest stock photography companies in the world.
In our second year of business amid the pandemic, we are on track to surpass US$ 1 million in revenue in 2022. We are excited by the opportunities as we work towards our next phase on creator discovery and monetization. We are also tapping into web3 applications to create meaningful impact for our next-gen community.

Pros: As a Software Engineer here, the base salary in the Austin, TX office is pretty decent. It's competitive for this market. The 401k match is pretty solid too, feels like a good perk from a big tech company.
Cons: Healthcare plans aren't anything special though, definitely room for improvement there; they feel pretty basic. Annual bonuses are also kind of a mystery, it's hard to understand how they're calculated, feels a bit opaque.
Advice to Management: Take a closer look at the healthcare options; better plans would really make a difference for employee retention. Also, more transparency on bonus structures would be huge for morale.

Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk here at Gump. It's nice to have two work from home days a week, which really helps with personal appointments. As a Junior Software Engineer, I appreciate not being fully onsite every day.
Cons: Still, the required onsite days in the Austin, TX office can feel a bit rigid sometimes. There's not much flexibility if you need to swap days. It would be good if teams had more say in their hybrid schedule.
Advice to Management: Allow teams more autonomy in setting their specific hybrid schedules, especially for engineering roles. A little more trust goes a long way for employee morale.
